I'm Rowan Emberwing, a principal product designer. I've spent fourteen years building technical enterprise products—products whose value depends on translating complexity into goals users recognize.

That translation is my craft. And because it can't live in one person's head, I systematize it. That way users reliably get value from the product, and feature teams move fast, distribute decisions, and stay aligned while they do.

I believe every user experience (UI, API, or agentic) comes down to three questions.

Answering them takes PMs, Engineers, and Designers. I turn each into an artifact the whole company can use. When the answers are challenged, everyone's thinking improves.
